Signs and symptoms Severe left sided abdominal pain, elevated WBC count, Fever, Nausea and vomiting, Change in bowel, habits, Constipation, Diarrhea, Bloating, Bleeding from rectum in some cases
Risk factors over 40yrs old, Obesity, Lack of fiber, sedentary lifestyle
Treatment Rest, IV fluids, and broad spectrum antibiotics
Moral of the story exercise, don’t get fat, and eat foods high in fiber …
