here we go again

Yesterday was the first day of school. I have now entered into the third semester of nursing school. This schedule is going to be intense. The first 4 weeks we have our OR rotation, we get to scrub in for surgeries, pass instruments to the doctor, begin IVs, Foleys, NG tubes, push meds. I can’t wait. After the OR rotation we begin med surg, where we will have up to 3 patients at a time. We get to do everything that a nurse does this time around. Finally I get to learn how to be a nurse.  But with more responsibility comes more work. We have a lot of studying, papers, and exams. This class lasts 16 weeks after that it’s on to Psych. for the last 5 weeks of the semester. 

I have an amazing support group, My family, Friends and my Fans. I love that everyone gives me words of encouragement. It means the world to me. Thank you my sweets...xoxo

Urban X Awards

Saturday night I attended the Urban x awards with the sexy Rico Montana and FreakaNique. We arrived late so we missed the red carpet, but that's OK i was wearing enough red to compensate...when we got to the parking lot we ran into the super sexy hall of fame Jack Napier who I love. The venue was small and frustrating. Security closed down the smoking section so all of us were a little frustrated. The show itself I couldn't hear because we were back by the bar. As soon as the show was over they kicked us all out and told us to go to the after party at a different location.
When we got to the club they didn't want to let everyone in. So we decided to make our own after party at Hooters consisting of Burbank misfits, Rico Montana, FreakaNique, Rawstar and myself...we made the best of the night and had our own fun...http://youtu.be/fGu16obDI88  (you tube video from Rawstar)

summer time

so far summer has been good to me. I have been working my EMT job, doing my rectifications, moved into my moms place (which the pup loves, cause he is extra spoiled now), and hanging out with friends, who i haven't seen in a while. It feels like school has been out for a month already, but its only been a few weeks. I do miss my porn peeps and hope to see them soon...don't forget about me

I am available to work until August 29th for shoots if anyone is interested...y'all know how to reach me...

oh and if things work out I might be running my own site pretty soon...but Ill keep you updated when I know more

Just have to get through it

Well this school year has finally come to an end. With all the tears and the sweat I have hit the halfway mark, only one more year to go. But now comes the hard part. I have to move back home. The money I had saved for school is all gone, because my roommate had lost his job for a few months, and my other roommate lost his unemployment for a month. Both work now, but are unable to help me out when I need it. My summer school money…GONE…

So I am starting over, going to try to work as much as possible this summer so I do not have to stress out next year. Hopefully I will be able to get back on my feet soon.

I am half way there and nothing is going to stop me from finishing, even if I have to live out of my car again.

first day of maternity clinicals

So yesterday was the first day of clinical for maternity nursing. At first i was terrified. I was going to have to help deliver babies. I met my nurse who I was going to follow that day, we made our introductions and then dove right on in. The hospital I am doing my rounds at has over 100 beds for the maternity ward. and they were all full. we were busy.
 My patient had been in labor since the night before, it was her first baby. She had already received her epidural and we were just waiting for the baby to "want to come out" I was able to see on the monitor her contractions and how the babies heart rate were doing, I took vital signs,  watched the nurse do her exam to see how far she was dilating.
Then around 1100 we received another patient. The nurses were scrambling to get the room ready, there is a lot to prepare for. Another patient was already 7cm on her 4th baby and stated she delivers fast. Once she was brought into the room and transferred onto the bed the nurse checked her...she was at 10cm and ready to pop. My nurse told me to call the team...they arrived within 2 min.
another student from my class and myself were standing on the wall waiting and watching. when the doctor ruptured her amniotic sac a gush of fluid came out which barely missed us. After that I was told to go over and hold one of the patients legs so the nurse could chart. I did and within 5 min the baby slipped right on out. The doctor put the baby on moms stomach and let dad cut the cord...(when the cord is cut it splashes blood...um yeah i know that now...mental note remember to duck)...

After the delivery we take the baby back to the warmer and learn how to assess a new born...making sure it had all fingers toes and holes present, lungs and heart were good, did measurements, we gave the mmedications. then mom got to breast feed right away.
After the delivery we went back to check on my patient. She still had not progressed.

My instructor grabbed me and the other student and told us that we were going to watch a c-section. The patient had a history of hypertension and a previous c-section.
We gowned up and were told where to stand. All the nurses in the room were so nice. they explained everything that was going on and why they do certain things. The surgery took about 30 min. It was crazy...nothing like the textbook pictures...when the baby came out it was having a hard time getting enough oxygen so they had to take it to NICU...

By the end of the day my patient was almost ready to give birth. but i wasn't allowed to stay to watch...our time was up...

I gained a lot of respect for the nurses who do labor and delivery. The way they talk to their patients, so compassionate, and reassuring. I felt as if that's a job that really makes a difference. I cant wait to learn more...

nursing update

So this is the last week of nursing 3 (Med Surg). It has been a tough road.Finals are next week and i am going into the final with a 77% which i must have a 75% overall total to pass...so its not too much of a cushion like i was hoping for...the written exams for this class have been rough...My roomy lost his job so that has been crazy as well...I had to pick up the extra slack on the bills...I have someone who will move in to take his place but not for a few more weeks....so hopefully that will decrease some of the stress...

on the brighter side...Clinicals were amazing i feel more and more like a nurse everyday. ..I love my instructors, they are so helpful I feel somewhat spoiled...

Next week is going to be crazy, Monday review day, Tuesday last day of clinicals, Wednesday evaluations from our clinical instructors and Thursday our final exam...

so this weekend is jammy jam study session with a few of my classmates...they are staying the weekend at my place so we can just wake up in the morning and hit the books all day all night ...with sleep in between of course (but not too much)

Once this class is done i move onto maternity...which i cant wait for. It starts the following week...
until then I am taking a deep breath and trying to get as much out of this class as possible....

nursing school update

So this has been a long winter break from school. I spent the first 5 weeks sitting on the couch drooling trying not to have to think about anything…I worked my EMT job and only had a few shoots. I was able to spend time with a few friends and family this time around which was nice. While I am in school that doesn’t get to happen very much.

Next week is the beginning of the 2^nd semester of nursing school which I have mixed emotions about…I am scared, excited, prepared, but not prepared all at the same time. It is going to be a fresh start with a new agency to help in my porn career and new teachers to help me grow as a student nurse.

During the first 6 weeks of the semester I will be learning about the musculoskeletal system diseases, visual and auditory system, and Immune response, HIV, Cancer and skin diseases. After I make it through med surg, pediatrics and OB begin; where I get to help deliver babies (woo hoo).

Each Course begins with a dosage calc exam where I have to score at least an 85% or I receive an F in the course. During the 4 semesters I am only allowed to fail one class according to the program rules. It is going to be a stressful time for me…But that is what I live for.

While I am taking these stressful courses I am going to be trying to take a few PE classes as well, to relieve some of the stress. Pilates every Monday night and a gym class where I must spend 8 hours a week working out. I am hoping that along with my studies these classes will relieve some tension.

I have been spending some time recording my reading list (for the first class) so that I may listen to them every minute of the day, including when I am asleep and between shoots.

I have the most amazing support group, between my friends who come over and help me clean my house and do my laundry, because I can’t, my family who will wrap up meals for me, because I have no time to cook, and my fans for giving me words of encouragement. It is exactly what they said in orientation, the student is not the only one who experiences nursing school, it is everyone around them as well. Without my support group I don’t think I would have made it this far.

So last night’s Porn Star Karaoke at Sardos Bar and Grill in Burbank was the place to be…The hostess Nicki Hunter was looking hotter than ever.

The night started off with just a few of us Tony Bones, Tera Knightly, Rachel Marceaux, myself, and a few of our civilian friends came in a little early so we could have some dinner…Once the crowd began to poor in it was an amazing night. Guests included Ron Jeremy, The Original Tommy Gunn, Tony Bones, Tera Knightly, Tee Reel, Chad Diamond, Tessa Lane, Rico Montana, Dale Debones, and others.

During the night Dale Debones sang a duet with Nicki Hunte, Don’t stop believing…which was magical. One of the cocktail waitresses had her birthday lap dance from some of the hottest girls in the room and Dales vibrating tongue ring. Between the photos being taken by fans outside and inside, the drunken  debauchery, interpretive dancing, and  make out sessions with Tera Knightly I say it was a good time.

After PSK Tony Bones, Tera Knightly, Rachel, my roomy and Ron Jeremy all went out to Bobs Big Boy for some fucking French toast….(I don’t know why French toast tastes so good when your drunk), that was twice this week for me and French toast.

last night

So i called in sick to work yesterday to spend most of the day studying...like a good girl...but then I really wanted to get out of the house and have some fun...so i grabbed my roommate and we started the night at Zendejas at the bar...the service there sucked...drinks were horrible...and the nachos we ordered we left on the table....we decided to move to another location...TGI Fridays...for the end of happy hour Tyler was our bartender there...he was amazing...drinks were yummy and the food always good...(even though i used to work at a TGIF for 6 years I still love going there)...after we ate we decided to hit up a few bars in the area...You know its legit when we walk into Gilberto's and there are only 6 people there...that includes the bartender...who makes the strongest drinks ever...

My roommate and I were trying to get a few of our friends out and about but most were in Vegas...celebrating a friends birthday...so we left there and went to Good fellas...looked at the bar and it was the same thing...only a few people...so we came to the conclusion that we needed to go to the Branding Iron where one of my girls was working...

When you know the staff the drinks are stronger and the service is amazing...Bryan was our bartender of choice...he makes these drinks that will kick your ass...they have no name for them so they call them the red drinks...

I love going to the Branding Iron...I have been going there off and on since I was 16years old for teen night on Mondays...it brings back so many memories of friends that have moved or passed away...

Going to the branding Iron is different then going to a club somewhere...no one hits on you, they only want to dance, if you bump into someone everyone says sorry, not too many fights, although seeing cowboys fight over a girl does happen. But the security handles it within the first few minutes

by the end of the night having one too many my girl Jenn drove us back to her house where we hung out, drank some more and... crashed out...

all in all it was a good night
